For nearly 20 years I (Michele) designed in shops all around the Kansas City Metro. Oh, the stories I could tell, the creative people I've met, the amazing events I've been blessed to be a part of! That's the fun stuff.
But I've also experienced the "other side"...the cuts and burns on your fingers. The chapped hands. The aching feet and backs. The lack of sleep. The complaints. The expectations. Answering phones. Taking orders. Running deliveries (with no GPS, mind you). The panic of opening a box of moldy flowers arriving from Ecuador or brown, floppy dahlias that aren't worth the premium price you were forced to pay.

I understand it all because I've lived it all too! I particularly understand the stress of hours at the design table pouring yourself into your design work wanting to ensure your clients get long lasting, beautiful blooms for their special event. I understand the anxiety while you wait to see if your designs meet their expectation and convey the sentiment your customers entrusted to you.
